GUI_UPLOAD & GUI_DOWNLOAD

Hi Could anyone please explain me kind of inputs that I need to give to this Function Module. I want to import one excel file and need to do some processing on it and replace original excel file by new one.

Can i Use above mentioned Function Modules to satisfy my requirements?

No..,

u cannot use above function module (Gui Upload) to upload data from an excel file into an internal table..

U need to use the function module <b>ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE</b> to import data from excel file into an internal table...

But u can use the function module <b>GUI_DOWNLOAD</b> to populate an excel file with the data in an internal table...

while giving the file path give the filename with the extension '.XLS'...

Hi...

for uploading file from Excel sheet you can use "ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE". go through that FM...

then..for downloading that use "GUI_DOWNLOAD" ..In that give ".xls" at the end of your file name. and " WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR = 'x'".
