Help in search help

i create Z report.

In the selection screen i have 2 field: werks and MKMNR ( Master Inspection Characteristics). when i press F4 on MKMNR i see search help of MKMNR - QPMK

I want that the value of the werks will automatic enter to search help

for example if i entyer werks 1002,so i want to see only record that have 1002

How can i do it?

Hi Balan,

As per your requirement, go for the extended search help compared to the elementary search help.

Hi,

What I understood is when you press F4 for MKMNR field you are getting the values of this field for all the plants, not for the one which was entered in WERKS field.

If you want like that you create youe own elementary search help for the field MKMNR from the table QPMK and use it instead of using the std help for the field MKMNR.

You need to do two things.

In you code. Set the parameter ID for plant 'WRK'.

Then on the search enter this parameter ID for the plant field.

I did those 2 thing but it not work i see always all the plant and not the one i enter in selection screen

When the user enters the plant. They will have to hit 'enter' on the keyboard. Otherwise the plant value is not taken. What even did you do the set parameter.
