Hi,

I wanted to tie one transaction with my database table that has already been maintained in SM30.

Could you please tell me how to do it step by step??

Hi,

You need to create a Parameter transaction - In SE93 while creating the tcode, specify the last option (Transaction with Parameters or Parameter Transaction).

In the subsequent screen, under the Defaults block, specify the transaction as SM31 and select the check-box 'Skip initial screen'.

At the bottom of this screen, in the list you would specify the following-

Name of screen field -

Values

UPDATE -

VIEWNAME -

Name of your table

Save all these.

Create a program in SE38 as below.

REPORT YTEST MESSAGE-ID zv.

CALL FUNCTION 'TABLE_CUSTOMIZING_MAINTENANCE'
     EXPORTING
          tabname  = 'YTEST' (table name specify in CAPS)
     EXCEPTIONS
          no_views = 1
          OTHERS   = 2.

IF sy-subrc <> 0.
  MESSAGE e999(zv) WITH 'Cannot generate table maintenance screen'.
ENDIF.

Then assign the Program name to a TCODE in SE93, choosing the second option 'Report with screen.... '.
