    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;HI,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1)  JAVA is an open standard. Where as ABAP is SAP property.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2)  ABAP has been developed keeping in mind the advantages that are offered by JAVA and other OO langauges.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Some of the important differences are&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ABAP does not support OVER LOADING OF METHODS ( This is achevied using the OPTIONAL parameters in ABAP).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ABAP you can create class which is FINAL and ABSTRACT java does not support this.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;good&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;there is lots of advanctages over 1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1-Java support all the operating system&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2-Java achieves stong oo concepts than abap&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3-Java having more functionality than abap as far as oo concept is concerned.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4-you can develop easily a java based object to display in browser rather than in abap.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;mrutyun^&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
