Hi people!

When I click an icon in the SAP menu in R/3 the system show me this dump-error and I don't know what is it.

MESSAGE_TYPE_X

Error analysis                                                                   
    Short text of error message:                                                 
    Control Framework : Error processing control                                                                                
Technical information about the message:                                     
     Diagnosis                                                                   
         An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands         
         from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.                   
         There are several possible reasons for this:                            
         - The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is         
         faulty or obsolete.                                                     
         - There is an error in the application program                          
         - There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control              
     Procedure                                                                   
         1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support             
         Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your      
         system                                                                  
         2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or       
         generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some       
         users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.           
         If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem        
         with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the        
         software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may      
         point to the cause of the error.                                        
         3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note           
         158985).

If yu are using a mirror copy of SAP on your system, then it might be notinstalled properly. Because, the program u wih to execute, is not getting find by SAP in the system.

There appears to be something wrong with your gui. What is the release level of the system that you are connecting to and what is the version of the sapgui that you are using.

Press ALt+F12 ~~> About~~> You can see the patch level.

To check the basis level, click system, then status. Then in the SAP System Data, click the magnifying glass. What does it say for SAP_BASIS release and level? For SAPgui, go to the logon pad, in the upper left hand corner of the log on pad, there is a little icon, click this and choose About SAP Logon. Note the release and patch level here.

OK,

We check the version of the sapgui and she have the same version that have all the users: 640 patch 14. We check too the authorizations that she have and we assign SAP_ALL but the problem occur again.

Some person can help me here?

Hi Carlos,

Have a look at the following OSS note:

Note 689991 - Runtime error MESSAGE_TYPE_X with SAP GUI HTML control

There must be a transaction you are attempting to execute which requires a object oriented container or control which cannot be instantiated because the GUI does not support it.

Atleast the note should help narrow down on the prospective culprit ...
