clarify on general workflow question

hi,

1)may i know where to key in the abap code for business object type BUSxxx. the editor seems a bit different when i see in SWO3, it looks like form editor. Not in se80 or se38?

2) where to find all the possible object-type. for example, BUSxxx, idocxxx, TVxxx, etc

3) each standard task is a single step but when combine of standard tasks in workflow template, becomes multi steps, correct?

4) when a task is triggered which in turn executing business object type, even if the object type has many method and events but this particular task can perform 1 at a time only, hence it says a single step. correct?

Hi,

In SWO1 enter business Object ex:bus 2032, in the next screen tool bar you will find the PROGRAM button. If You wants to modify the program you have to copy the std Object into Z object and define your methods/events(if needed) and can modify the program code.

Table <b>swotlv</b> contains all the Bus objects and their methods.

3rd answer is YES

4th, Yes you can attach a single Bus Object and a single method of that object at a time in the task. see the PFTC tcode in a example task.

may i know where to write the code and also where to define the methods/events?

the program button is to see the source code only.

Hi,

You will find a Button PROGRAM on Application Tool Bar. Press that. You will see the code.

Std object code you can't edit.

Copy and create the std object(in SWO1) and edit the code.

You can create the medthods and events on the same screen where the existing methods and events are appearing.

hi,

ic. its done in SWO1. so the BUSxxx and its method and events, we make a copy of the standard code and recreate a Zxx in SWO1, right?

can create a new business object type and its methods, events, parameter? which means not copy from standard object.

Hi,

Once you copy the Std bus object to Z object all its original properties(methods/events) and the code will be copied into the new one. And we can also add extra methods (like Send mail) and we can write the code for that send mail method in the program.
