Changing Sap Standard

Actually i want to chage inputfield handling unti gr. 1 to my requred field without any possible values. How can i change sap standard program.

transaction : humor

pgm : rhu_help

SELECT-OPTIONS: selvegr1 FOR vekp-vegr1 NO-EXTENSION NO INTERVALS ,

selvegr2 FOR vekp-vegr2 NO-EXTENSION NO INTERVALS

i have changed above fileds in rhu_help but vekp-vegr2 filed length is 5 i want it to be more than 20 chars.

does it afect any other programmes if i change it

If you change the table field it will affect the programs related to that .

Try to use where used list based on the field to get the list of programs affected.

Hi,

Instead you can create a new datatype of 20 characters and use it. You need not check all the programs in that case

Since rhu_help

is a Std program, If you change in it it will effect the other programs also, where this Selection Screen paramters are used.

Firs up all How are you changing this Std program? with the help of a Key?

Copy this program and change if you need,

Then it doesn't effect any where.

But the Handling Unit Group field you require more than 5 Char?

i have changed the selection-screen as i got the access key.

Handling unit gr. 1 : selvegr1 FOR vekp-vegr1 NO-EXTENSION

Handling unit gr. 2 : selvegr2 FOR vekp-vegr2

also i need to change text

to Handling unit gr. 1 TO VESSELS

Handling unit gr. 2 TO VOYAGE

IT NOT ALLOW ME TO CHANGE THE SELECTION TEXT DESPITE HAVE THE CHANGE PERMISSIONS.

MY QUESTIONS:

1. HOW DO I CHANGE THE TEXT AND FIELD LENGH.

2. THERE IS ANY OTHER WAY WHERE I CAN DO ENHANCEMENTS WITHOUT CHANING THE SAP STANDARD.

3.FILED LENGHT vekp-vegr1 5 TO 40
