Hi all,

I need F4 help for an employee name. But it is observed that it is case sensitive. If the end user enters "T", he is getting the data Tom, Tim and others. But when he enters "t", he is not getting those values.

How to make the search NOT case sensitive.

Thank you

Hi

The search help parameter in which you are entering the value say 'T*' or 't*'

is not having the correct domain characteristics.

In order to make the search help work correctly, you have 2 options...

1) Either write code inside search help exit and handle the thing yourself.

or

2) Copy the saerch help and that change the Domain element characteristics

to convert the user-input to Upper-case.

If the Domain is SAP standard, copy the same to a Z Domain and then make the changes below.

If the domain element is a custom Domain then, Follow these steps -

Double-click the data element of that search help parameter and it will display the domain element there. Go the Definition tab of the Domain and dis-able (uncheck) the Lower-case tickbox.

Hope this will help.

Please reward suitable points.

Regards

- Atul
