Estimation time

Hi Guys,

i need a format for estimation of time for interfaces like how can we decide the amount of time required for an interface. I need the guidelines to decide how many days it will take to develop an interface for an ABAPer.

Please reply urgently. Points will be awarded generously.

Here estimation in the same how many hours you required to understand the functional spec,no. of hours for Technical spec preperation, no.of hours for coding, hours for testing like that.

Based on complexity first fix total hours after devide those hours like the above mentioned.

Thanks for ur quick reply. I need the estimation guidelines for eg we are going to modify the standard idoc or creating the new idoc? etc., Based on those we can estimate the time for that interface. I need such type of guidelines. Please provide some guidelines if u ve.

Hi,

Being a technical person, you should be in a position to decide how much time the object will take for complete development and testing after going through the spec of the object.

Based on the Time the object category is decided as Simple, Medium and Complex.

Based on complexity only we can estimate the man hours.

To access the complexity go in detailedly thru the specification and take help of your collegues for the same if you are in ambiquity.Before this check whether your company is using any Estimation tools.

The company people told me to prepare estimation guidelines for interface. So i need what factors should i ve to consider to estimate the interface.
