hi kumar,

SAP abrevation is systems applications and products. It's an integration of one company's all modules.

SAP is software for ERP.

ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning.

Enterprise Resource Planning systems integrate all data and processes of an organization into unified system.

Various modules are well integrated in ERP system.

If there is no ERP, we may need to develop many software applications that do not talk each other and do not effectively interface.

But in ERP the problem is solved by integrating all the modules of the business.

ERP provides advanced security features compared to other software applications. These security features

protects data both from insider crime and outsider crime.

regards,

Anilreddy G

Hi Kumar,

If any company wants to implement SAP,then the functional people(eg.;PP(Prod.Plng),MM(Matl mgmt) so on)go to the place and prepare a Blue print of the company(AS Is study) then they go for customising/configuration.During configuration if they want some new objects or want to modify something which is there in the standard SAP then that task is transferred to the ABAPERS who r the programmers.

After configuration it goes to Final preparation and Testing ,then this prepared and tested environment is sent to the productive environment i.e the go live environment(where the end users can operate).During executing we may encounter some problems ,the problem -solving is nothing but giving Support.

Regards,

Naresh
