Group Column in Se11

Hi Experts,

In SE11 there is a column named " Group" after the Short text column.

May i know what is the purpose of it?

Pls give me a clear example.

Hi,

Basically this column is used when you include structure using .INCLUDE.

I believe this will opened up only if the row field name = .INCLUDE.

Example

Lets say you create a structure Z1 with the fields MATNR, WERKS.

You create another structure Z2 with field ffields KUNNR, VBELN.

Now you are going to include two structures to a third structure Z3.

using .INCLUDE Z1

.INCLUDE Z2

Now in the abap program you declare a work area of the structure Z3..

How do you access structure Z1 and Z3 separately....Since it is sequence of fields MATNR , WERKS, KUNNR , VBELN.

That is were the group fields come into picture..

Lets say if you give the following in the structure Z3.

.INCLUDE Z1 S1 " where S1 will be the groupname

.INCLUDE Z2 S2 " where S2 will be the group name.

In the ABAP program..

DATA: S_Z3 LIKE Z3.

***Now you can access like this..

IF <b>S_Z3-S1</b> <> ' ' . " Note I am accessing the group name here.

Press F1 on the group column and in there press the Named include link...
