segment qty/value field

hi all,

may i know why the export length for data element menge in we31 is automatically save as 15?

the original data element size is 13.3.

1) how can we change the length to 13?

2) can the export length has decimal point? like retaining as it is 13.3.

3) may i know if those data element have decimal point (qty or curr) will auto save without decimal and minus 1 digit in we31?

I hope it is not saved automatically because it is created as char15 .

You can have decimals and also you can create your dataelement with decimals and position.

Hi e_l ,

The export length of segment type in WE31 is the field length specified in Data Element attached to the varibale in Segment.

It is quite possible to have decimal point in data element .

So , its not possible to alter the field width at segment level. Everthing has to be done at Data Element level.
