Hello Neil

Did you check whether the TADIR entry for your ztable is still available?

I am asking because recently a colleague of mine had a problem with a SAP standard class where one of its includes appeared to be missing. Actually the error was that the corresponding entry in table PROGDIR was missing, the include itself did not yet exist.

Thus, check in table TADIR whether you can find the following entry:

R3TR TABL <your ztable>

If it is missing there simply add this entry and perhaps your table will appear again in SE11.

this question might not belong here but I didn't know where else to post it.

We have a production 46c site. There is a particular Z table we have created which is not visible from the data dictionary, SE11/12, BUT programs which refer to it compile and run successfully and the table can be browsed via SE16. SE11 gives the standard table not known message: E2 007.

It looks as though the underlying databases/tables which get generated from the dictionary objects are fine but the dictionary table itself has been lost.

We are trying to port the table structure to another SAP system but cannot view the structure.

Any ideas on how we can recreate the table? Is there some magical way to reconstitute it?

Hi Neil,

Have you tried creating the same table with the same name?

This may sound very silly but you can get the structure by creating a work area of that type and then checking in debug.

Also if it's having a maintenance generator then that can also be found.

Only thing that will be left will be technical specifications !!

I am interested in seeing whether the system will give any error or not when creating as you have rightly said it seems the data dictionary doesn't have it.

We faced some issue like that in the sense that for us the primary key's got deleted some how from Database and not from data dictionary. We could correct it by using se14.

Regards

Nishant

Thanks for your suggestions, Nishant.

Recreating it did not work as it recognised it already existed (contrarily).

However, your mention if SE14 might prove useful. I haven't done it fully yet but it looks like the utility can be used. I will check with my basis people or get them to try it in case there's a danger of getting in an even worse mess.

Hi,

Following on Uwe's idea, you can also check if the table DD02L has some value or not for the table. This table contains details for the database tables.

In case this is there and TADIR has not entry then you can create your own entry, otherwise it will not give any results.

Hope this helps

Regard

Nishant

both TADIR and DD02l have entries for this table. I think the best hope is the 'activate and adjust' button on SE14 but I'm waiting for feedback from basis before trying it..

Update: 12/2/2007.......

It was a happy ending! SE14 resolved the problem. After using the activate and adjust button the structure reappeared within SE11/12.

Thanks for your help.
