As one of the Message says that BAPI in lsmw used IDOC for data transfer.

I have a qestion on this.

If I have a BAPI_BUS1077_CREATE which I use to Create Substance Specification (EH&S module ) . But this does not have a IDOC type and a message type. But Still I want to use this in Lsmw. How should I do this.?

Becasue when ever I am trying to use BAPI object and choose BUS1077, it is chooing the BAPI_BUS1077_SAVREPMUL which actualy has the IDOC way of transfering the data.

But If I want use the BAPI_BUS1077_CREATE in lsmw , what is the best possible way. ( I tried to make some entries SXDA0 .. SXDA3 . But its not working as expected. I am missing something )

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

David

Hello,

This may help you. I have registered several programs in this way which we can use in LSMW.

To register a BAPI, follow the procedure:

1. Check the release date of BAPI. If it is not released, create a Z BAPI which calls the BAPI which you would use to post the data and release the BAPI.

2. Create a subtype of the Business object-method and link the new BAPI to it. Set the status to Release.

3. In transaction BDBG, generate the IDOC Interface for this method.

Now the BAPI can be called in LSMW which inturn uses IDOC container to transfer the data; but the posting happens by a BAPI.

I am using some BAPIs which has been registered in the above procedure.

Hope this helps you.

Regards, Murugesh AS

Message was edited by:

        Murugesh Arcot
