SAPSQL_SELECT_TAB_TOO_SMALL

Hi all,

I have created a custom table and used table maintenance. but in SM30 , when i try to display the maintenance screen , i get a runtime error " SAPSQL_SELECT_TAB_TOO_SMALL ".

Error analysis

In an SQL array select, the internal table used to hold the

selected records must be at least as wide as the database table

from which the records are being read.

In this particular case, the database table is 594 bytes wide,

but the internal table is only 580 bytes wide.

Please let me know if any suggestions.

Have you changed the z-table description, if yes get back to SE54 and re-generate the maintenance dialog.

Hi,

This should not happen in general.

One way to check: Do not use the function group used by some other table or application.

If you have added a new field to the table, go to Database Utilitye or SE14 and select Adjust and Activate the table.

Then, go to table maintenance generator from SE11 in change mode.

Select the first icon [ change icon] and select all check boxes and rebuild the table maintenance.

This should solve your problem.

Hi,

This is a new custom table and no new field addition. But i have tried re-genenrating the table maintenance too.

But i see , the maintenance screen display in SM30 sometimes but i'm not able to see the last 2 fields [ both of type DATUM ] in the overview maintenance screen.Any suggestions pls.
