display default value in table control based on another field

ZTABLE fields

Cause code and cause text

1 Cause Code

2 Cause text

Suppose I enter possible values for cause code like 1601..

The above 2 column screen shows the F4 help for cause code with thieir text.

Now if i enter 1601 for cause code, then that cause text(blower/trippers) should appear in the next column(Zeqstop-C_TEXT) automatically.

these two fields are in table control.

Please help.

In PAI, write code to populate Cause text. Check below sample:

Process After Input.

loop tc_Table

field cause_code module get_cause_text on request.

endloop.

Module get_cause_text input.

select cause_text from <table> into tc_work_area-cause_text where cause_code = tc_work_area-cause_code.

endmodule.
