Hi Folks,

I actually try to find solution for using chinese characters in smartforms. The main Problem is, that our customer wants to print mix of chinese achinese-and-latin.jpgnd latin characters.

For better understanding - I print Texts which contain some words in chinese and other words which are in latin. The characters wich are from the similar block of text (chinese and latin) need to be printed in Arial.

I had an idea to check every character if it is chinese/ latin but it wont solve my Problem, at least because of this process is really labourios.

Do you have any idea to do that ? I have added also printscreen.

Dear Martin,

If you want to mix all Unicode characters (CJK and Latin-n) in the same document,
I recommend you to use the Cascading Font solution, which is described in note 812821.
Please use the unicode device type SWINCF or PDFUC.
In addition it is a Cascading Font device type, so it doesn't matter any more that you use wrong language.

Best regards,
Hedvig
