workflow mail task fails

Hello,

I'm trying to send an email with a mail task.

When the workflow enters the mail task the status returns to ERROR.

When I get, via the log, a detail of the task I can see the following error:

Error replacing symbols in text (mess no WZ620)

When I try to execute the mailtask manually (transaction swia) I see that there are 2 outcomes in this task. The first is the sent mail outcome. When I select the 'sent mail' outcome en click "Complete mannually", the task is processed correctly and the mail is sent.

The other outcome is an empty string but I don't know why it is there ...

The outcome name is empty and all boxes are not checked. When I select this one and click complete manually there is a message with : "Choose a valid line".

Can someone help me out please?

Hi,

Check the outcomes of the Task in the workflow builder.

Hi Ramu,

There is no outcome tab in the send mail step.

In the control tab there is a field outcome, but that's filled with 'Mail sent'.

There is no possibility to add more then 1 outcome here ...

Hi,

In SWIA check the LOG and see weather the outcome is comming form the same workflow or form a different one.

Are there any other Tasks in the workflow other than send mail.

There are other tasks in the workflow.

I don't know if the outcome is the problem, it is just something I mentioned when I was looking for the problem.

When I look into the log with technical detail there is the folowing:


WokItem 00000051958: Object 00000051958 method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed.
Error replacing symbols in text.
Problems occured when generating a mail.
Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
WokItem 00000051958: Object 00000051958 method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed.

Hi,

Some times the other tasks will also effect. So check the workflow template once.

If the workflow is executing through SWIA, than there would be a problem in the workflow task. Do the testing using SWDD you will come to know more about the problem. Are you using any Text Elements in the description of the mail. If you are using delete the Text Elements and try some time Text Elements also give problem.
