Problems when using Business Data Toolset (BUPT)

Good morning everybody,

I would like to log field changes of contractual business partners (transaction FPP2) to an event table with the aid of the BUPT.

1. I searched for the right point in time and decided to take the XCHNG event.

2. Here I added my FM ZEDM_CHECK_GP_MASTERDATACHANGE

3. In this fm I use BUA_BUPA_ADDRESS_MEM_GET_ALL and ZEDM_ISU_DB_PARTNER_SINGLE_RFC to compare the new and the old version of the business partner. In case of relevant field changes I save a dataset into my event table.

4. In order to get the "valid from" timestamp for planned changes I would like to use the fm BUP_BUPA_PCHNGNR_GET. This fm doesn't give a result at the XCHNG point of time.

5. Therefore I decided to use other points of time (DTAKE, DSAVE, DSAVB, DSAVC, DCHK) but in all these cases I get the following error message when trying to CREATE a new business partner (transaction FPP1):

R1 205 - Businesspartner doesn't exist in roll MKK.

Can anyone help me how to avoid this error when trying to save a new business partner or does anyone have an idea which event I should prefer instead of the mentioned?

Hi Florian,

I too have to include a field in the identification tab of the transaction FPP1. For this i am using BUPT task menu. I could create a field but i dont know regarding events.

Please tell me which events need to be used in order to update the database and my requirement to be achieved.

Will be very greatful if you could provide me this informatio.
