Hi,

I have some doubts regaridng the source release upgrade scenario.

1. How can we convert profiles and what type of profiles can be converted and any type of conversions available.

2. How to deactivate authorization objects globally?

Hi,

1. we can convert profiles using Tcode SU25 , In this you have to use Stpe 6 .

You can convery only manually created profiles . You have two types of

conversions a. optimized and b. Identical to profile.

2. You have to go to SU25 and follow the step 5 to deactivate the auth obj globally.

*Pls avoid point if you find it usefull

Hi Prasanth,

Generally after conversion, the roles need to be regenrated once...

and also if u r upgradding from 4.0 to 4.7 or higher versions make sure your old profiles are deleted from user matrix...after the assignment of related roles...
