Hi,

the steps for lsmw are given below:

1. do recording for the given transaction

2. for the second step mention structure name and create in se11 with all the fields that are given in fs

3. edit and select str and click on copy fields.then select copy from repository and give str name, save and go back

4. edit and save

5. edit and save and go back

6. skip

7. edit and give imported data and converted data path and flat file path from al11 in legacy data and save and go back

8. edit and save

9. execute and go back

10. give from line and to line i.e the number of lines present in flat file and go back

11. execute and go back

12. execute and go back

13. same

14. u will be able to execute the transaction

<b>How to debug LSMW</b>

You can debug any LSMW object program in the usual way by putting a hard or soft breakpoint.

In your Field Mapping/conversion, you can code BREAK-POINT at the very first field. Then the program execution will break when it reaches there.

You can also put soft breakpoints in the generated code. To view your generated code, you need to bring it up in the initial screen of your object.

To do so, click on the User Menu button & check the Display Read Program & Display Conversion Program checkboxes. Hit ENTER. Now you will see 2 additional options on the initial screen of your Object. Double-clicking on the Display Read Program or Display Conversion Program will take you into the generated code. Place your soft breakpoint as you normally do.

Another option: go to the step DISPLAY READ PROGRAM or DISPLAY CONVERTION PROGRAM.

Now you will see the ABAP editor with the code. Place the breakpoint (soft break point using STOP button on application tool bar) whereever you desire

Master Data Transferring

LSMW  Transaction Code

Enter Project Name => Module Name (Material Management)

Enter Subproject => Transaction Group (Master Data)

Enter Object Name => Transaction (Vendor Master)

Press Create / Change

Enter Projects Descriptions

Continue (F8)

Maintain Object Attributes

Execute (Ctrl+F8)

Press Display <> Changes button

Select Batch Input Recording (Radio Button)

Press Recordings – Overview button – (SHDB for Transaction Recording)

Press Create Recording

Enter Recording Name & Description

Enter Currently Using Transaction Code

Enter Needed Fields (Ex. Account Group for Vender Master)

Enter Values for All Uploading Field

Save

Press Default All Button
