1. its better to put the created package in one transport request and move it.

2. now you can create new request and attach your objects to this.

3. if you had already released the request (note its request and not task) you need to create a new request to add objects.

4. to find the released request for your user id , go to transaction SE09

Regards

Raja

//1. i want to create a PACKAGE and assign my objects to this package.

i need to give a new request to package, DO I ALSO NEED TO CREATE A NEW REQUEST FOR EVERY OBJECT OR SHUD I PUT INTO THE SAME REQUEST OF PACKAGE. //

For a package a request is created . But i will create it only for one time and once it is transported to quality and then to production we will not touch this package .

Cause all the developments falling under this package will be counted under this package in quality or production.

Now u have developed an object then it will be alloted a transport request to it .

to maintain unique identity better to have a new transport request for each abject u are developing.

now this is released .

Again u have modified the object then u have to allot a new TR to the object and then transport it to the quality so that the new changes are overlapped on the previous version in quality.

same is the process from quality to production.

2. IF I RELEASE THE REQUEST AND LATER I WANT TO ADD SOME THING TO SAME OBJECT HOW SHUD I DO.

once released thats the end of the transport and this u can see in the versions of the object .

once u want to add new features to the object then u need to carry the changes with a new TR and then release it .

3. WHERE CAN I FIND THE LIST OF REQUEST RELEASED.

u can see the list of released in SE01 .

regards,

vijay

HI Ahmed

Will try o keep it simple for you...

1. i want to create a PACKAGE and assign my objects to this package.

i need to give a new request to package, DO I ALSO NEED TO CREATE A NEW REQUEST FOR EVERY OBJECT OR SHUD I PUT INTO THE SAME REQUEST OF PACKAGE.

Ans: When we create a package, it should first be moved to QA and then production. So even if the objects are assigned to different request under this package are moved, we will not have any problems.

Generally, we include all dependent objects in a single request and indepenedent objects in separate requests. Though we can include multiple independent objects in a single request, this approach can sometime cause problem as we may need to move one object and not all at a time.

2. IF I RELEASE THE REQUEST AND LATER I WANT TO ADD SOME THING TO SAME OBJECT HOW SHUD I DO.

Ans: When an object is included in request, we can consider that it is locked. When a request is released its lock is released. So the next time we make changes new request is created.

3. WHERE CAN I FIND THE LIST OF REQUEST RELEASED.

Ans: All requests and their status can be found via transaction SE09/SE10.

Hope this info helps you for better understanding...

Kind Regards

Eswar
