According to OSS Note 41474 it is safe to create a function module that has the conversion exit naming standard (Begins with CONVERSION_EXIT*). You will get a warning that you can ignore. The important part is to have the first letter of your rountine name begin with Z or Y. That way you won't have a conflict with SAP.
