Hi Experts,

Im wirting a BDC for MM02. There is a problem that the number of views maintained in Materials Master are not same. So in recording, the view marked for selection does not correspond to the view when opening MM02 for some material.

Please suggest how to tackle this when there is invariable number of views in material master, i want to make changes to views using BDC.

Hi,

One design is basic data is always X, enter the tcode using only Basic data..then using OK_CODE u can traverse thru the required tabs...

Hi,

The number of views maintained for a material is listed in field MARA-VPSTA.

Each Letter in above fields indicate the views maintained. Following is the list.

A Work scheduling

B Accounting

C Classification

D MRP

E Purchasing

F Production resources/tools

G Costing

K Basic data

L Storage

P Forecasting

Q Quality management

S Warehouse management

V Sales

X Plant stocks

So accordingly you can populate BDC table for different views.

I would suggest using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA instead of a BDC, then you don't have to worry about these types of things.

Use the fm SELECTION_VIEWS_FIND to get the list of active view for a particular materisl.

The index of each record in the returned table will correspond to the position of that view in the list of views that is displayed in the bdc recording.
