      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi balu,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;field catalog is an internal table which contains the characteristics of the fields to be displayed on the output.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;for example you have to display a field ABC on the output list. field ABC has some characteristics like field heading, field length, emphasize, hotspot yes or no, etc...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;such properties of every field in the internal table are passed into the fieldcatalog internal table and is given to the REUSE_ALV funct-modules.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;pavan&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;when you show your alv you must build a structure with some features which will show the list.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;like ifieldcat-fieldname = &amp;lt;specify the fieldname&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;      ifieldcat-col_pos&amp;lt;specify col position for your output field&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;      ifieldcat-output_len&amp;lt;specify output length&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;     ifieldcat-do_sum&amp;lt;will do sum at the end of list foer the field&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;like this lot of features you can give to your perticular field.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;go and check type-pool slis for that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;shiba dutta&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
