how i can add data to the dev ?

hello ,

we have dev / qa / prod .

the problem is that the "dev" don’t have enough data and we need

to pass the development to the qa for any simple test .

is it possible to insert data just to the tables without erase or make

damage to the existing programs/develops ?

YES.. otherwise how will you UNIT test in DEV? Adding data to the Tables will not affect the Programs.

yes go ahead and create data in DEv some for testing..if u have to create a large volume of data then u can do one thing download data from production environment (some data) into excel and then in dev create a local Program wich will upload this file and inser data into the table..

How much is the data content to be created into the table ?

For unit testing is this a report or what program is to be run in the QA?

Can u elaborate the query in this regard?

Are u trying to transport the table with entries into QA for just testing purpose ?

confirm this .

in my opinion if at all the entries are required to test some scenario

like say one or two max 5 per scenario ,

can't u create some entries in debugging itself by appending the entry in ur QA itself .

and to take data from the beckup of the prod ?

i can't make just few rows in the tables ,

i need "data" in the dev .

while doing the COPY client u will get these kind of options.

check tcodes SCC* in se93.

for more info ask ur basis Person.
