internal tables

i have some doubts plzz clear my doubts its urgetnt.

1. suppose my internal table contains 10 fields, and in ALV fieldcat also contains 10fields. if i want only 6 files not 10 in my fieldcat how can i do that?

2. can i call one window from another window in scripts /smartfors.

Hi Shilpa ,

For the first question : you can set no_out field in fieldcatalog to 'X'.

I am not sure whether you can call a window from another in script/smartforms , i feel we cannot do it.

as on alv grid control,

when ever u r creating final internal table for alv make it only 6 fileds u needed.

as on scripts,

by using call screen xxxx we can able to call the other screen.

Hi shilpa,

For the first one there are two possibilities.

1. while specifying the fieldcatalog just give no_out for the remaint 4 field which you do not want to dispaly.

2. You can hide these fields while seleting the layout which contains only the required 6 fields.

It is not possible to call a window from another window.

Hi Shilpa,

For the point No.1

You can use the following code.

Add the fields of header table to field catalog

PERFORM addfields_to_fieldcat USING :

Fieldname Int table Database table Field No Out

Corresponding FORM...END FORM for this.

FORM addfields_to_fieldcat

USING value(i_f_fieldname) TYPE slis_fieldname

value(i_f_tabname) TYPE slis_tabname

value(i_f_ref_tabname) LIKE dd03p-tabname

value(i_f_ref_fieldname) LIKE dd03p-fieldname

value(i_f_no_out) LIKE g_r_fieldcat-no_out.

ENDFORM. " ADDFIELDS_TO_FIELDCAT

In the above parameters for 'No Out' if you pass 'X' for corresponding fields, that field would not be displayed.

For point No.2:

It is not possible.
