How to create secondry index

Any body help me.please tell me how to create secondry index.

Hello Rakesh,

Go to transaction SE11, enter the table name and go into change mode. Click on the Indexes button in the toolbar. Confirm the message to create an Index and enter the index name and continue. Enter a description and select the fields for the index and Save.

Goto SE11 and give the table name

then click on Indexes which is in application toolbar

then on that dialog box click on CREATE

then give a name for ur index starting with Y or Z

then select the fields from that table for indexes.

then save in package

then activate it

thats all

follw the above steps for creating.

Hi ,

In SE11 , go to the table you want to create an index for and press the Indexes button.

If there is already an index created it will display it and you can create a new index from the the screen that is displayed .

If no index is already created then it will give a popup asking if you want to create an index or not.

Once you are there you can specify the fields which you want to specify in the index.

For e.g look at the indexes created for the table BKPF.

Hi Rakesh,

Go to SE11 and give the table name for which you want to create the index.

In the menu, click on GOTO -> Indexes -> click Create

Give the name and description and fields for which you want to create index and select the option Non-unique index or Unique index ( inorder to store it in database).

The option for creating indexes button is disable .so how i can create indexes.
