When using the new ABAP editor print feature there are formating options to print things like filename and current date. Current date displays in the European format of DD.MM.YYYY. I would like to change that to the American format of MM/DD/YYYY. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Also, as a bonus question, Is there a way to add parameters like User id?

Thanks,

Larry

Santosh,

Maybe I did not make my question clear. The new ABAP code editor has a print feature which is different that the standard SAP print. It is only available in the new editor. The format of the printout is defined in the options dialog. You can specify the content header and footer. There are parameters like filename, page number and current date that can be placed in the header/footer. When I select the current date parameter, it prints out the date in Euorpeon format MM.DD.YYYY. I want it ti print out in American format MM/DD/YYYY.

My question is how do I do that?

Everyone,

My date format for everything else in SAP is set to the the American format. I think this is exclusive to the New ABAP Editor. I know there are some configuration files somewhere that might contain these parameter definitions, but I am not sure where they are and how to change them.

Message was edited by:

        Larry Browning

Aaron,

When using the new editor, click th small button in the bottom right corner of the editor window. This will take you to the options dialog box for the new editor. One of the things that can be configured is the print format. I have select the parameter Current date or %date% to appear in the footer of the printout. This date is then printed as DD.MM.YYYY.

I want to print as MM/DD/YYYY

I am pretty sure that this has nothing to do with the date format in the user profile. Mine has always been set to the American format, and I have no problems with that at all.
