could u plz tell me aboutthe following.

what is a upgradation project and what we do in this.

what is an implementation project

what is a prodution support, developmentor maintenance project.

this is the question i faced in recent interview.

hi,

Implementation project starts from blue print to support.. work starts from the scrach..

Enhancement project - when the business is changed or modified, client would come up with new requirements or added functionality. In this kind of project we will touch the already exiting configuration and add more functional to cater the needs.

various company uses different tools for the production support, like Lotus Notes.

1-Is a kind of procedure which is send from the onsite team,the ticket can be related to technical prob, functional prob or basis prob.

2-after getting a ticket the respective people has to solve it as per its importance level .

Upgrade Project:

Upgarde the test systems with the new version

Test and correct on test systems

Upgarde Dev systems

Test and recorrect on Dev system

Database upgrade

SAP upgrade to test(A*) system

Test and recorrect on testing system

Databse upgrade Prod. system

SAP upgarde Prod system

Hi,

what is a upgradation project and what we do in this.

upgrade project in the sense version to version upgrade.

for example curent version is 5.0 the client was using ,but previously they might have used 4.6 version.so they will upgrade all the objects from 4.6 version to 5.0 version.then u will get some FUNCTIONAL module,table etc issues which were obselete(should not use in current version).so we have replace them with new FMS,TABLES etc which we have to use in curent version

what is an implementation project

implementation project in the sense if client is newly implementing sap.form example they may using pepole soft previously.now they want sap to use.so they are implementing sap and migrate all data from pepole soft to sap.

what is a prodution support, developmentor maintenance project.

Production support in the sense if the object ur supporting is in production serever.but u will change in production server.

developmentor maintenance project in the sense if u supporting the develoment system

There are two kinds of implemntation scenarios.

1) Life-cycle or end-to-end implementation: Which has different cycles like planning, design, build & unit test , Integrated test, training and go-live.

2) post implementation : is making changes to the existing implementation.

This is a brief idea on implementation scenario's.

there are 5 main phase for a sap project.

1.Project Preperation phase

2.Bussines Blue print phase

3.Realization phase. - ABAPER Come to play

4.Final preparation Phase. - ABAPER needed

5.Go-live and supposrt phase - ABAPER needed.

Could you pls let us know if their is any specific scenario that you are looking for otherwise the above theoritical explanations seems to be sufficient.

DOES THE CLIENT GO FOR REPORTING IN UPGRADATION PROJECT

OR ONLY ENHANCEMENTS.
