Customizing request and Workbench request

Hi Krishna

Changes to cross-client Customizing objects and to Repository objects are recorded in Workbench requests

In workbench request .... it can be programs(repository objects) and cross client data (ie not specific to one client).

Changes to client-specific Customizing objects are recorded in Customizing requests.

Customer customized data designed for a specific client is transported to another client using customizing request. Most of the cases these requests are something like changing values in tables (that too client specific).

Thank you so much for you response..

What if i have an enhancement that involves both .will I have to do 2 different transports.

Will there be a situation where I have to specify a transport as customizing or workbench transport. Or the system will take care of it.

If enhancement invloved both, you will have 2 transport requests, system will take care of this.

yes, it's a normal situation.

If you create a new table with se11 you've a WB-request and if you maintain this table with sm30 you've a customizing request
