In which table are the AUTHORITY-CHECK objects and their asscoaited information (P_GROUP, ACTVT) information stored?

Hi Rich,

I want to check the authorizations of users and awnt only some users to have the authorization of executing an ABAP program (ZABC).

Will this code suffice? I included this code after SELECTION-SCREEN statements and before the only SELECT statement.

SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK B1.

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK B1.

AUTHORITY-CHECK 'S_DEVELOP'

Hi Sachin

To achieve the above first you have to create Authorization object using SU21 TCODE.

There u need to give Authorization object, text, class, Authorization fields[Like ACTVT(activity)].

Then in your program at the beggining where process begins write Authorization check syntax as below:

      AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'OBJECT NAME'
                      ID 'ACTIVITY' FIELD '  '.

in take field with name program

and the activity = (1,2,3 ) all

then ask the basis guy to assign this object to the diffrent users profiles to whom you need to give the authorization.

With that u can see that the user who is having ROLE/AUTHORIZATION will able to run through that report and view, The end users who are not having the same will not be able to view the report.

Your program has selections screen,

put the authority check statement

after start-of-selection in following way.

START-OF-SLECTION.

AUTHORITY-CHECK 'S_DEVELOP'

ID 'P_GROUP' DUMMY

ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '03'.

if sy-subrc ne 0.

message e001 with 'No authorization to run the program'.

endif.

your select staemnt.

provided your authorization group,etc should exists in the syATEM.

If a specific authorization object is created for program ZABC, we can add this in the attributes of the program.
