G/L Posting Workflow

Is there a standard workflow to approve and post a G/L posting? If so, can you please provide the name and documentation?

Hi,

I think there is no standard workflow for G/L Posting.

But u can create a customized workflow using the

existing business objects.

Sorry im not having any documentation.But i giv some of the business objects.you check which one is opt for your scenario.

if u still need more business objects go to SWO1 and check for all business objects under Financial Accounting.

Hi Gene,

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but...

There are standard templates for FI document release, and they all use bus.obj FIPP. To trigger FIPP.CREATED you first need to do some customizing for document parking (tcodes OBW*). Activating this workflow for one company code means that document release through WF becomes necessary for all initially parked documents in that CoCd. It also becomes impossible to post parked docs with e.g. FBV0 or any other way (except via the approval work item). If you only want to run the wf for certain document types (e.g. G/L postings), you should make a few changes to your copy of e.g. WS400032, so that it releases irrelevant documents w/o user interaction.
