BDC in background

Hi ALl,

Iam getting problem while BDC program is running in background.Its workingfine in foreground and error mode.It gives a message in background "no in put data for screen...."like that with type S and id 00.Can any one help me regarding this.

Try to record your transaction using trans. SHDB and select the check-box "Simulate background".

Not all the dynpro runs same in background and in foreground. Always check the background simulation: when you record, and when you run bdc in foreground (there is a check box for background simulation)

Hi Fred,

I have tried this.But still iam getting same message (S 00 344) "No batch input data for screen SAPMF05A 0331" .And the sy-subrc value is 1.001.So please suugest me.

Hi Kiran,

Check all the mandatory fields in screen 'SAPMF05A 0331' are mapped accordingly.

Hi Saya,

There are nomandataory fields in that screen. I have to populate only one field reason code.Even after recording if i test there it self its working fine in foreground and error mode,but in background it gives a message.

Hi,

As u want to populate a single field in that screen.

Check the screen number and note the field name then write the code like this.

<b>IF <field name > is not initial.

write the PERFORM that comes in the recording.

endif.</b>

this is because u r not populating any data to the filed in that screen.ant how this is a message.u can rectify by doing this code.
