Fetching data into SAP from external Database Oracle

Hi,

I want to conenct to an external database from SAP.

I tried using Native SQL.

But I'm not very familiar about the DBCO Transaction and tnsnames.ora file.

Can you help me on this?

Can you suggest other ways of connecting to external database from SAP.

Thanks Santosh for your immediate response.

But I'm not having problems from the coding side.

I'm facing problems in getting connected to the oracle server via DBCO Transaction.

I don't understand what exactly has to be done in tnsnames.ora file.

I'm not able to locate this file? Where does this file reside and what exactly has to be done and what entry should be made in connection information field in DBCO transaction.

Kindly Help.
