Change pointer for Custom fields in KNA1

Hi,

I have a custom field zdate in KNA1, I wanted a chnage pointer on the field, I assigned the field in BD52 and the data element refered to the field in checked with Change Document option.

I observe that any changes to the data in the field is not triggering a change pointer.

Your valuble suggestions please.

Hi Suresh, I assume that you wanted to trigger the change pointer and ale the customer data to the target system whenever there is a change in the custom field appended to KNA1. The method PROCESS_ALE_OWN_CHANGE_POINTER in the interface IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_BI can be used. You may please go through the documentation provided for the method in Transaction code SE24. I'm trying to call the class and I recieve the the short dump stating.

An exception occurred. This exception will be dealt with in more detail

below. The exception, assigned to the class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not

caught, which

led to a runtime error. The reason for this exception is:

I feel it is exception for the null refrence.

Would you please let me know how to handle the situation.
