Nothing really, a BAPI is a function module which has been remote enabled. A BAPIs interface is well defined and documented and will not change from release to release, if there needs to be a change, a new BAPI is created. A BAPI usually will do something with some business object, like "Create a Sales Document". All BAPIs are documented in transaction BAPI. Also, BAPIs will never RAISE exceptsio like other function modules do, and the error handling is passed back thru a TABLES parameter BAPIRET2.

Regards,

Rich Heilman
