HR infotypes..

hi guys,

I need a basic understanding of something. If i want to retrieve a career history of an employee of company that is how long he was with company and wat posts he worked on and also it shud exclude the period in between when he was not with the company. i want to knw wud infotype PA0000 and PA0001.

Also i want to knw what does the field beginning date and end date describe in this infotypes.

and now the most confusing question.

R the infotypes time specific, means that a infotype stores data only for certain period of time?

like wud it be case that infotype PA0001 wud store info only for 21-01-2004 to 27-10-2006?

please explain,

PA0002 table will serve the info relating personal information of employee.begda and enda fields describe the beginning and end date.

these infotypes will stores info as long as as , it depends on configration.

Hi Reena,

Infotypes 0000 and 0001 can provide the information required by you. The start date in these infotypes indicates the date on which each action was carried out( eg: hiring, confirmation, promotion, transfer, change or org. assigmment, etc) in the life cycle of an employee.

For example, if an employee joins on 1st jan 2006 and he gets confirmed on 1st june 2006, there will be two records in actions infotype with the dates ranging from 01-01-2006 to 01-06-2006(hiring)

02-06-2006 to 31-12-9999(confimation) and so on..
