cl_gui_alv_grid Issues

Hi guys,

I´m working with an cl_gui_alv_grid and I having the following problems...

1.- When I have more than one row in the ALV and I select the value of a column in the second row (for example) via match code, the alv puts the result in the field of the first row...

2.- How can I indicate to a matchcode of a field in and ALV, that the values it will show for a certain field must be filtered with another values that are already in the ALV.

For Example, if you have and ALV with the following fields MATNR, WERKS and VERID. I want to filter the result of the match code of the VERID field by the values of the fields MATNR and WERKS automatically, instead of the way it works rigth now that displays all the info and you have to set the filters manually...

3.- How can I set the cursor of the ALV, because each time I set a value on a field the cursor goes to the first fiels of the first row...

Hi Guys,

I already resolved the second issue, all you have to do is create a search help via SE11, and asociated it to the data element of the field in your estructure when creating yor field catalog.

Any sugestion for the first and third issue?.

Try using IS_STABLE when you call refresh_table_display.

Hi Lisa,

With this opction i need to indicate the row and column where i want to set the cursor or the field that i'm updating?.

No, this options isn't to set the cursor. If you pass row and column stable = 'X', maybe SAP will leave the cursor alone and not default it to first field, first row. Worth a shot.

Your solution resolve my first issue, points were rewarded.

The only issue that's still pending is the third one, any sugestion?.

Hi,

I really haven't done anything with cursor on an ALV grid, but here's a couple of things you can try --

1) Try calling method SET_CURRENT_CELL_BASE to the field you just set a value.

2) Try calling method cl_gui_control=>set_focus exporting control = grid1, in case screens that have come up messed up the focus.

I tried to use the method but i get this message: "Access to protected method "SET_CURRENT_CELL_BASE" is not allowed.".

Hi Lisa,

In order to set the focus on a desire cell we must use the method set_current_cell_via_id.
