Question regarding internal tables

Hi, I have an internal table, which is a deep structure (first 5 fields are normal fields, but the last field is a reference to a table). Is it possible to loop this internal table into a work area just the first 5 fields, ignoring the last field? THanks in advance.

Err... not exactly. What I want is to ignore the last field of this deep structure, into a workarea. I do not wish to have a workarea which is a 'deep structure'. I'm not sure whether this is possible...

you can do a loop 'transporting' only the fields you are interested in. Your header line or work area will still have the 'deep structure' but it will not be populated.

loop at itab into workarea transporting x y z.

endloop.
