ALV Filter

Hi,

I have a tabstrip application with about 8 tabstrips. On each tabstrip, I have an ALV

list to show the entries a table. The tables from the first tabstrip on the left until the last one on the right, are built up hierarchically. That means the key of the "upper" tables is also key of the "lower" ones.

example:

Table1->key1

Table2->key1, key2

Table3->key1, key2, key3

and so on...

The ALV of each tabstrip shows now the whole entry of the specific table. But that is

a bit too confusing....

Therefore it should be possible to filter the entries of each table by the keys of the upper ones. I know, You could use the standard ALV filters, but that takes too long...

I thought about using a dropdown box above the alv for each key of the upper table.

And if You choose a new entry of the box, the alv is going to be refreshed.

Is is possible to react on dropdown box events?

Or do You have better ideas to solve that problem?

Thank You very much for answers.

Arne

Hello Arne,

Your idea sounds good.

I am not sure about the event is there or not on the selection on the entry from the list box. So, put one button also like "GO". By pressing this button you can fill your ALV display table with the value in the list box.

Hope it is clear.

Regards,

Naimesh
