Hi! I receive a document with the new equnr and a date to make the change. I use the function ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL_PROVIDE and I have error EL256 "Device &1: MR documents exist after activity date. Activity denied.

Is it possible modify the device with meter readings after the date or not? Thanks.

Hello Astaroth,

from your description I unfortunately don’t know exactly what you want to do.
If you want to do a device modification on a date before future meter reading order (MRO) / meter reading result (MRR) you can use ISU_S_DEVICEMOD_CHANGE with X_PRORATE = X to suppress the error message EL256.
If you want to install / replace a device on a date before future MRO / MRR the named function module is correct. But unfortunately there is no prorate parameter available. But normally in online transaction (e.g. EG31) future MRO / MRR will be automatically adjusted so they match the new installed device. You can try this in online mode.
Another option would be to simply delete the future MRO / MRR and to perform the device installation afterwards and to re-enter the future MRO / MRR.
In general no error message EL256 should be raised when the activity date of device installation / removal is after a MRO / MRR.
