If you need to perform some interspection of a class, you can use one of two classes: &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  CL_ABAP_OBJECTDESCR  or &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  CL_ABAP_REFDESCR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;there are several methods you can use:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  Describe_by_Name&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  Describe_by_Object_Ref&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  describe_by_data_ref&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  describe_by_data&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;One of these should do the trick...it just depends on what situation you are in.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Quack&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
