Hi All,

I have a problem regarding my program which automatically downloads the ALV output to a .csv file. My SAP GUI is 640. When i download the ALV output to a .csv file, I have no problem with the downloaded .csv file. However, my client is using GUI 620 and she is having a problem with the .csv file because the RDD date is not downloaded correctly. THe column for the date, which has a format of MM/DD/YYYY is blank. Could it be cause by the GUI version she is using?

Thanks!

jim

i'm allways asking when i see such post :

why do you use a CSV-Format Download ? You want to get the data in Excel later right ?

The ALV-Grid control can switch to EXCEL in the screen itself and convert the Data automatically. (you have to allow VB-macro in Excel and put the Secutity to "middle". If you don't do this nothing will happen when you clic on the Excel Symbol from the ALVToolbar) So you can save as XLS. This run whatever which SAPGUI u are using 6.10 and higher

It is because the clients want a .csv format of the file. They want the data automatically downloaded to their local drive without pressing the buttons in ALV.

Thanks,

Jim

i allways use SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT for XLS and SAP_CONVERT_TO_CSV_FORMAT for CSVs and did never have problem with GUIs.

how did you generate your CSV ?
