table maintenance text form question

I am using Table maintenance for my table ZTABLE. When I do the update on one column which is text (field1 as description), it automatically switch all to capital letters. Is there a way to keep it as the user types in? Any one know how to do it? Thank you in advance.

Goto the domian of that field and check the check box lowercase which is in the definition of the domain. Activate and regenerate the table maintanence generator once again. Goto Table -> table maintanence generator -> Press change -> A pop-up appears -> Check all the check box -> Press enter -> Check the overview screen -> Press enter.

Hi,

For the corresponding domain for the data element for the field..Check the "Lowercase" checkbox in the domain..

THen re-generate the table maintenance..

This should work..

I tried this way, but the checkbox there is grey out. What can I do to make it available for me to check it?

What is the data type / domain?

If it is a standard one, create a Z domain and use the same. Or if it is a Z domian go in change mode and check the check box.

Hi,

It must be a standard domain..Create a new 'Z' domain which is similar to that of the standard domain..There you can check the box..

Thanks a lot for the help. Now, I have now question.... How to create a new 'Z' domain? I created Ztable, ZVtable for table maintenance, created layout using screen painter. I don't know if I created a domain, and how do I create a new 'Z' domain. Can you help me on this? Thanks.

Domain should be created in SE11. Check the domian radio button -> enter the standard domian which is already there in domain input fied -> Press the copy button -> Give the Z domain name in the To field -> Give the package transport reqeust etc.-> Now ur z domian is created -> Activate it and check the check box lower case.
