idoc doubt

Hello,

IAm receiving a shipping notification Idoc on receipt of that I need to create a shipping notification document and post the GR...so which message type/Idoc type process code do I need to use...?

Hi Larry,

You can use message type DESADV, IDoc type DELVRY01 and process code DELS.

I cannot use DELS(idoc_iput_desadv1) as iam getting a GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED dump error due to the version of SAP(4.0) we are using... is there any chance i can use Idoc_input_delvry to create the inbound delivery and then post the GR on receipt of shipping notification...?

I tried it iam getting an error that the delivery does not exist is it possible to achive this functionality using Idoc_input_delvry...?

I am not sure it will work or not but give it try.

Please use message type SHPCON, IDoc type DELVRY01 and process code DELV.
