VL363 error in BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE during Batch split

Dear experts,

Need your help in the below issue. We are badly stuck.

We are using BAPI BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CHANGE to do batch split for a delivery. It is working fine in cases where the sales UOM and Base UOM are same.

But when there is a difference in the sales UOM and Base UOM, the BPAI gives error message VL363 - Delivery quantity is greater than target quantity.

This is due to the conversion between the 2 UOM's. We tried hard with many methods by converting the delivery quantity to base UOM and then passing it through the BAPI. But cannot come to any solution on this.

I saw a similar post on this issue from 2012, but that was addressed as issue solved by standard functional settings. PFB the link for that.

Can anyone please help us with this issue. Do we need to do any code change or do we need to make changes in any standard functional settings.
