Hello all,

I have a requirement here. I have to retrieve ship-to and delivery plant from customer tables and need to create an IDOC.

Can I use debmas06 idoc type for this req? I am just wondering why to use the standard one only for 2 values?

Next one is, if I need to create an outbound IDOC for this idoc type, how can I do that? An example would be of great help.

Hi Somen,

Yes, you can use IDoc type DEBMAS06 to generate/retrieve customer ship-to and delivery plant.

If you don't want to send additional data within the IDoc, you can reduce the message type to allow only above information available in IDoc.

To generate the DEBMAS06 IDoc, you can use program RBDSEDEB (t/code BD12).

<b>Even though you need only two fields it is not recommended to create a new message/idoc type. This is only done when your data is not supported by any of the standard messages!</b>
