Customizing VS Configuration

Hi all,

can anyone explain me the diff. between customizing and configuration.

Please send me some links or docs also if possible.

Hi,

SAP provides different types of tables.

ie., System tables and Customizing tables -

Generally there are some tables in which the data is provided by SAP ie., SAP maintains them and these are configured at the time of installation.These kind of entries are generally termed as Configuration .

Where as in contrary there are customizing tables provided by SAP which are maintained by the Customer and they are generally the way in which the Customer would like to use the application.
