SEARCH OR DRILL DOWN HELP

Hello all,

I have a requirement in table control where i have to provide a help for one of the fields in my table control.

I have 5 values which that field can take so

1)can i create a search help or help with those five values so taht the user can select one out 5.

is it possible

or should i go for drill down or list box ,so that i can hardcode the 5 values and pass to FM.

I WAS JUST CURIOUS TO KNOW WHETHER THE SEARCH HELP CAN BE USED TO PROVIDE WITH DEFAULT VALUES AS IN MY CASE.

You could create a domain and have the values specified in there. That would be the quickest option.

If you have only 5 fixed values take Martin Shinks advice and create a domain (in last tab you can specify those 5 allowed values), create a data element in reference to that domain and in you abap program define a selection parameter with the reference to that data element.

can you little bit more clear.

you mean to say i need to give the values in the search help or

in last tab you can specify those 5 allowed values

i didnot get this thing

Hi,

You can use the function module F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST by passing required 5 values to the table VALUE_TAB of the function module.

Check the function module documentation also for your scenario.
